According to Ayurveda, what you eat plays a major role in getting and staying healthy. You are what you eat.
Every cell in your body renews several times during your lifetime. The building blocks are derived in large part from your food. So what you eat has a very direct effect on your body. General and more in-depth information about Ayurveda can be found in our Beginners' Guide to Healthier and Happier Living, or have a look at the following article on our blog:
What we offer here is a long and detailed list of food recommendations based on your individual Ayurvedic constitution.
The list contains approximately 350 foods, neatly grouped into 12 distinct categories. Within each category, foods are ordered alphabetically, and behind each foodstuff is given an indication ranging from recommended (in blue), with moderation (in yellow), to to-be-avoided (in red). The list is presented as a downloadable PDF-file (see example) that you can easily print or download to any device.
How that works? It’s 3 simple steps:
- fill in the dosha-test* to determine your constitution;
- pay € 10,-;
- download your personal list of food recommendations.
And there you are. That’s all there is to it! ?
If you are an Ayurvedic professional wanting to create personalised lists of food recommendations for your clients, we recommend you to visit Ananda.
Disclaimer: we are in no way responsible for your health. The list we provide is supposed to empower you to take control of your diet. However, if you are ill and/or in need of more personal support, we strongly advice you to go see an Ayurvedic nutritionist, professional or doctor.
*This dosha-test is based on the questionnaire developed by Atreya Smith.
